About Jobs Search

Jobs Search is a free job search engine for the United States. It searches current job openings, shows advertised salaries and keeps federal job postings up to date, so you can find work and open the original posting in a few clicks.

What Jobs Search Does

You can search jobs by title, company, keyword and location, filter the results, save jobs and searches, and get new jobs by email. You can also browse jobs by state, city and field, compare advertised salaries by job title and see which companies are hiring.

Jobs Search is free for job seekers. You do not need an account to search or to save jobs in your browser.

Where The Jobs Come From

Job listings come from three providers. Every page that shows live data names its source and the date the data was retrieved.

  • Adzuna supplies most job listings, along with job counts, advertised salary data and the companies with the most openings.
  • Careerjet supplies job listings as a second source. You can choose it on the search page, and it is used when the first source cannot answer.
  • USAJOBS, the official job site of the U.S. federal government, supplies federal job postings.

When you open a job from Adzuna or Careerjet, you go to the posting on the provider's or employer's site. Federal jobs have their own page here with the full announcement and a link to apply on USAJOBS.

How Salary Figures Work

Salary figures are advertised salaries taken from current job postings. They are not official wage statistics and do not include taxes. When there are not enough postings to show a reliable figure, the page says so instead of estimating.

How Federal Postings Stay Current

Federal job postings are checked against USAJOBS once a day. A posting that has passed its closing date, or that USAJOBS no longer lists, is marked as closed and its page tells visitors that it is no longer accepting applications.

How Jobs Search Is Funded

Jobs Search earns money from advertising shown by Google AdSense and from referral payments when visitors click through to some job listings. Advertisers and job providers do not decide which jobs appear or how they are ranked. Ads are labeled as advertisements.

Who Writes Our Career Guides

Career guides are written and updated by the Jobs Search Editorial Team. Every factual requirement in a guide, such as a licence, an exam or a minimum working age, is checked against an official source, and each guide lists its sources at the end.

Guides never quote a salary figure in their text. Pay is shown through live advertised-salary data with its source and date.
